MORE hunting for moles

I posted a couple of weeks ago about Mole season and how I LOVE IT!!

Well, some of you commented that you'd never seen a
mole. Let me tell you...you are SO missing out on some very good stuff. Just look at this plump little creature!!

(Would someone tell Penny that this fat little body looks nothing like mine???)

So in the event you guys ever DO see a mole (or hear him digging in your yard), I'd like to give you more details of my skillz.

First, find the little sucker. That's the easy part. Now dig around and throw dirt all over the yard.

You can see how exciting this part can be...just watch how fast my tail wags. (And if a stupid little white dog drops her stupid dirty pink ball into your hunting ground, make sure your Mom is ready to extract the ball and get her the heck out of your business!!!)

Digging can be very exhausting so once you've cleared some room to hunt, lay down & shove your head in there to see if you can locate Mr. Juicy.

Now, this is the most important step so please pay close attention.

Stare. Stare hard. Keep staring...

Stare a little more...

Don't lose your concentration...just keep staring.

Because eventually, the little sucker will come out and then you get to eat him!

Any questions?

He comes out and then we eat him? Sounds pretty straight forward to me.

Wow you are a brave dog! I think Lola wants to play with you, after all that is what we boxers do best!

Let me know when you get him.

I've got a question - how do I get a mole to come hide at my house?

They look like so much fun!

That's the kind of hunting I can get behind. The kind that involves a lot of lying around. I do that with the fridge sometimes. I sit there and stare and stare and eventually the ma ape comes out and --bam--chicken backs!

We don't have moles here in Arizona but we have these huge jack rabbits. They're so big it takes all four of us to get. Of course Mom freaks out when we do.

Sherm, That Lola is such an attention hound (pardon the pun). No wonder she drives you bananers. But really, do you actually EAT the mole? My mom would be so completely freaked out if I tried that. I don't actually think she would ever recover and then they would have to commit her to an asylum and then I would be homeless .... or at least without the thumbful ability to feed myself. I have very advanced abilities of foresight in these sorts of situations and very quickly calculate the pros and cons. I think I best not mole hunt. Honest, it's MY decision. Not mom's.

Digging is a bit hard for me. Yes, I have a question. How long do you have to stare until it does come out?

We had one of those things in our yard once. I'm not sure who got it, but we are thinking it was Edgar. He fancies himself the great orange hunter. That Lola is really butting in. Good thing your mom was there to take her to task.

May I please borrow your mole catcher? We have some awful moles in our yard and our girls couldn't be bothered with them. But they are boxers and they look for big prey, like bears!

Sherman. Now that we know how to find one of those ugly suckers, now you have to teach us how to eat them. Do they bite? Just asking.

Sherms!

LOVE the mole hunting howto. You should definitely post that on Wikipedia. You're obviously a master.

Just so you know, Stella knows that you belong to Dot Spot, but that doesn't keep her from enjoying watching your booty metronome while on mole watch! You kept her occuppied for hours!
