(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

What? I wasn't digging...swear.

The moles are back!!!

I LOVE this time of year! It's time to go mole hunting!


I wait...

I pounce...

Mom screams and makes me spit it out. Then she throws my prize in the garbage.

So I pout...

Any of you guys ever caught a mole? Do your pawrents let you eat it? I'll be so jealous if they do...

It's gettin' hot in here...

So let's make Frosty Paws!!!! Come on Mom....pleaseeeee?

You guys know she can't resist my jowly face. OK, these are pretty easy to make and OH so delicious. I know your folks will make them for you guys too.

Two ingredients...plain yogurt and canned TRIPE!! Mom says you could use a can of dog food too, but that's not nearly as much fun. Mom tried to make Nanook & Pooka's recipe for us last year (with the PB & banana) and Princess Penny didn't like them. She's strange...

Plop your tripe in a big bowl. For those of you who have never had canned tripe, you may want to warn your parents. It smells so good!! (Note from Mom...no it doesn't. It's quite possibly the stinkiest stuff on the planet & you may throw up in your mouth a bit the first time you smell it. But it's really good for the dogs & they go nuts for it...so I just hold my breath. The sacrifices I make for these beasts...)

Add about 8 oz of plain yogurt...

And stir it up!

Pour it into little containers.

And pop it in the freezer!

Now, as the next 8 hours might be the longest of your life, make sure you convince your Mom to let you lick the spoon...

Sherman got to clean out the bowl (we don't know why this picture is sideways...but we can't figure out how to fix it.)

Penny helped him finish up.

Tick, Tock...Tick, Tock...Tick, Tock. DING!!! They're finally done! They are even delicious on the outside.

Sherman says "Get this stinkin' lid off!!!"

Penny is such a dainty princess. She just takes teeny little licks...

I, on the other hand, shove my whole head in there.

All gone!


Took us about 2 minutes to finish them up!

Pressies from Deefor!!!

While Mom & Dad were in Mexico, we got a big box of goodies from Deefor & Arrow!! We love goodies!



Look at all of this good stuff! We got some chew sticks, Zukes treats (which we LOVE)....



And these cool things. Chatter Boxes!! Mom says she's gonna give them to us this weekend. She didn't have a lot of time to take pictures so we'll post more of us eating the goodies later!


She did take a quick pic of Lola eating the most delicious buffalo heart. That's right...buffalo heart!! Yum!

We're all back!!

Hi Guys!!! We're so glad that Mom and Dad are back! Not that our Doggie Vacation wasn't pretty darn terrific. Auntie Kristen is the bestest Auntie ever (don't have a fit, Auntie Rachel...we think you're pretty great too!). She took the best care of Penny & I (aka spoiled the heck out of us) and I think she should come live with us forever....

Mom & Dad showed us some pictures of their trip. This is the hotel where they stayed...

Mom & Dad even watched the Penguins game on Saturday...don't ask them about the game though. Oooooo, that's a sore subject!

And this crazy guy was their waiter! Steeler fans are everywhere!!! Even in Mexico.

I'm not sure why they had to have giant drinks. I guess it gets pretty hot in Mexico so they needed lots of liquids to quench their thirst.

And speaking of HOT...what the heck is up with this weather???? It was 95 degrees here yesterday. We haven't been doing much of anything but laying around since they got home.

Even crazy Lola can't stand the heat...

And Mom is making me say Congratulations to my sisters for winning the DWBs Photo of the Month. And I'm supposed to thank Miss Ruby Blue for nominating them. Pawsonally, I think this picture is dumb...I'm not even in it!!

But Congrats anyway (do I get an extra chicken back now, Mom???)

We're gonna have a busy week...we've got some Meme's to do, a tag to finish and a big present from Deefor to open!

And we'll be around to visit all yinz guys too! We've missed you all...

Our Doggy Vacation

Hurray! Our Auntie Kristen is here this week to spend time with us. Sherman and I are showing her our blog and introducing her to all of our DWB friends.

Our Auntie Kristen has no puppers of her own... she had some turtles once, but they are not nearly as fun as I am. So we have been helping her learn all about dogs and how to take care of us.

Our first problem:


Auntie Kristen should have taken better notes when her and mom talked about dog stuff, because Auntie couldn't remember if she should feed us once a day or twice a day.

I told her, "Auntie Kristen, with Dog as my witness, we eat twelve times a day."

Auntie Kristen didn't believe me. Com'on Auntie Kristen! You don't believe this face?

We also made sure to tell Auntie Kristen that we HAVE to be walked each and every day, sometimes more than once, and that on our walks we must stop every 4 feet and sniff. She should just wait until we’re done sniffing to continue the walk.

Also, we explained we ALWAYS sleep in bed with mom and dad, so Auntie Kristen must let us do the same.

Auntie Kristen is such a quick learner – we are eating lots and lots, going for walks AND cuddling at night!

In fact, it’s my turn for a walk, so I have to go get ready!

NOW where are you going????

You guys are NOT gonna believe this...

So first, Penny peed in M0m's room. While I was in there checking it out, I found this giant box on the floor.

When the big box comes out, it means someone is going on a trip. Booooooooo. So I started sniffing around trying to figure out where Mom was going. If you guys recall, last time she had the big box out...she went & hung out with The Brat Pack's Mom & didn't take us!

I found suntan lotion and bathing suits and flip flops...so I confronted Mom. And she told me her & Dad are going to MEXICO!!!

Oh no, don't you dare tell me you're gonna be hanging out with my Mexican Diva Girl, J. Lorenza!! I'm coming too...

But then she said that no, they were not going to see Lorenza...they were going to a place called Cancun. And there are no other dogs there. Doesn't sound like any fun if you ask me.

Wait...there's more. Auntie Kristen is coming to stay with us while they're gone...and by US I mean Sherman & Penny. Because apparently I'm kind of a handful. Whatever...do I look like a handful to you guys???? I think Auntie Kristen looks quite fond of me in this picture.

Well take this, Sherman & Penny! I get to go to my favorite place on Earth!!

Yayyyyy! I'm all set...Let's Go!!

We won't be around to visit anyone for a week or so...but we'll be back!!

Sun Goddess

I hope everypup had a great holiday weekend. The weather was just beautiful here in Western Pennsylvania and I got to do one of my favorite Summertime activities...

Sunbathe.


I am a total goddess and will lay around with the sun beating down on me for hours. Unlike humans, I have a nice layer of fur to protect me from UV rays

Ahhhhhh, that feels good....

I think it's officially summer around here.

One other thing...Lola's Diva Sista, Ruby Blue was kind enough to nominate a picture of the two of us as Photo of the Month at the Bone Zone. It's one of our famous snuggly pictures. For those of you who don't know...I never get to sleep by myself. Lola insists on laying right on top of me and snuggling herself as close as she can. I usually don't mind but it would be nice to get a little shut eye without a little white blanket over me.
