We're on strike!!

OK, this is getting a little ridiculous. It's not like Mom has a life or anything. And since we struggle with the whole opposable thumbs thing....when Mom is a slacker, it makes us look like slackers! Which we are NOT.

I had a talk with the girls and we decided it was time to either fire Mom or go on strike.

Hey Mom! What'll it be????

Well, she said she'd make us a little snack and we'd discuss the situation. Now you're talkin', woman! Make us Super Stinky Salmon Cookies!!!

I told her that she'd have to act like Joe & Tanner's Mom and share her culinary "skills" with all of you guys. Once your pawrents see how easy these things are to make, we're sure they'll make them for you. You can thank me later.

Allright, Mom...show 'em how it's done!

Sherman's Super Stinky Salmon Cookies (Warning - the Stink comes if they eat too many!)

1 cup rolled oats (I know, there are 2 cups in this picture...just use 1 cup)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for sprinkling on top
2 eggs
1 can of salmon (or jack mackeral) with the juice
2 healthy shakes of garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cover medium cookie sheet with foil (if you hate doing dishes as much as I do) and hit with non-stick spray.

Dump everything into a bowl.

Smoosh around with a spoon till combined.

Dump whole mess onto coated cookie sheet.

Press flat into thin layer 1/4 inch thick (or so).

Add additional cheese on top (or not).

Pop into oven for 25 minutes.

Tell Dogs they are not ready yet.

Remove from oven & cut into bite sized pieces with pizza cutter. Try one if you like Salmon...they're actually pretty tasty!

Alright, we're ready to start negotiations...

We'll let yinz guys know how it goes.

Thank Goodness for our Friends!

I know we've been away furever. Mom has been doing extra sucking up for not bringing us any presents back from Utah. She says her return should have been the best present of all, but we're not buying that crap.

So, she's been taking us on lots of long walks and giving us lots of chewies to ease her guilt. Moo Tubes can buy a lot of forgiveness!

Mom also said we shouldn't feel too deprived because we got a couple of great packages in the mail from 2 fabulous ladies! The first one is from little Princess Snowball and it came all the way from Singapaw! Look at all of this great stuff she sent ME!

I got these pawesome bungee bones and TWO tennis balls! Yes, I know there is only one in this picture...the other one went to tennis ball heaven in the backyard. And the other one is not far behind. But I got hours of enjoyment from it so they served me well while on this earth.

Snowball sent me some of those famous Singapaw BURP! treats and let me tell you, they live up to their reputation! You will notice...they are all gone. There are also some cookies that we are gonna tear into this week. I'm gonna be nice & share with Penny...and maybe Sherman. Probably not, though.

And just what every Diva needs...a new purse and a GIANT diamond ring!

I think it's the pawfect amount of carrots, don't you?

Penny & I fought over the purse.

Yes, it was MY present...but Penny is older & stronger than me. Plus, I'm working on making her a little more fem. So I gave in.

We also got a box of goodies from the lovely Miss Sophie la Brador!

No surprise...fat boy took the burger.

And the football.

I think he really believes he is The Bus.

Thank you to Snowball & Sophie for such wonderful presents!! You ladies made our week!

I also had been dying to get an entry in for Koobie's Easter Bonnet contest, but we're a little challenged in the costume dept here on Jackman Ave. Asta the Fantastica to the rescue! She helped me pick out a bootiful bonnet for Easter...she even captures my love of all things tennis ball in this picture. Thanks for all your help, Asta!!!

I'm ready for Easter!! Bring on the bunnies...

Mom comes home tomorrow!!

What a loooong 4 days!

Dad has been really great. He's been giving us lots of lovin' and good food and attention. But we miss Mom.

I've been so good this whole time too. Just LOOK at what I let Lola do to me while I was napping!

I totally knew she was right beside me and I didn't even grumble at her or try to chase her off the bed. I wanted Dad to give Mom a really good report about ME if she called.

We'll be around to visit everyone in the next day or two...as soon as we get some special time with Mom. We miss Mom, but we've missed our DWB buddies too!

Hurry Home Mom!

So Sherman mentioned that Mom was going on a trip. She leaves tomorrow and will not be home till Sunday. None of us are very happy about this.

First of all, she's going to a big place to play with other dogs!! And cats. And horses. And maybe birds. I don't get it. We have plenty of birds here in Pittsburgh. And she has 3 pawfect dogs to play with at home.

In addition, she's going to be meeting up with The Brat Pack's Mom...which is so uncool. When do we get to meet up with The Brat Pack??? Huh? Sherman has been pouting for 3 days...he really thought he was gonna get to see his true love Dot Spot. And Penny was really looking forward to seeing Tucker. And me...well I just wanted to get the heck out of this freezing cold town!

They're going to this place called the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. I guess we shouldn't be too mad...even though she's totally gonna be cheating on us. None of the animals have great homes like we do, so I guess she's doing a nice thing. We get to stay home and hang out with Dad, which is pretty great. He always feeds us WAY more than Mom does.

She's taking the laptop so we won't be able to visit everyone's blogs till next week. Don't forget about us!!
