We're on strike!!

OK, this is getting a little ridiculous. It's not like Mom has a life or anything. And since we struggle with the whole opposable thumbs thing....when Mom is a slacker, it makes us look like slackers! Which we are NOT.

I had a talk with the girls and we decided it was time to either fire Mom or go on strike.

Hey Mom! What'll it be????

Well, she said she'd make us a little snack and we'd discuss the situation. Now you're talkin', woman! Make us Super Stinky Salmon Cookies!!!

I told her that she'd have to act like Joe & Tanner's Mom and share her culinary "skills" with all of you guys. Once your pawrents see how easy these things are to make, we're sure they'll make them for you. You can thank me later.

Allright, Mom...show 'em how it's done!

Sherman's Super Stinky Salmon Cookies (Warning - the Stink comes if they eat too many!)

1 cup rolled oats (I know, there are 2 cups in this picture...just use 1 cup)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus more for sprinkling on top
2 eggs
1 can of salmon (or jack mackeral) with the juice
2 healthy shakes of garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Cover medium cookie sheet with foil (if you hate doing dishes as much as I do) and hit with non-stick spray.

Dump everything into a bowl.

Smoosh around with a spoon till combined.

Dump whole mess onto coated cookie sheet.

Press flat into thin layer 1/4 inch thick (or so).

Add additional cheese on top (or not).

Pop into oven for 25 minutes.

Tell Dogs they are not ready yet.

Remove from oven & cut into bite sized pieces with pizza cutter. Try one if you like Salmon...they're actually pretty tasty!

Alright, we're ready to start negotiations...

We'll let yinz guys know how it goes.

Seems like you pups are seriously milking your mom for as many tasties as you can get.

Quite right too.

Those must be the most excellent, but I gained three pounds eating toast, so mom says I'm off the snacks for a while.

She also says, she has not watched the Shield yet, but now that the Wire is over, she's ready for it. Something about one show at a time? Whatever. Bring on the stinky salmon!

Hey, pups! You guys can do ALL of my negotiating from now on, as long as I get in on the snackables. My advice though ~ get the snacks first, then make your demands! Be strong.

BRAVO this is WAY better than anything my Mom makes because its FOR DOGS!!!!!!!!!! She wouldnt have to eat alone if she made stuff like this all the time!!

Ok you better throw into the negotiations some Rita's Italian Ice once a week just for my Mom, then message her and tell her how delicious it is.

Oh wow, you three certainly make a great team! That looked really yummy! Can you teach me how to negotiate with LS?

CoCo said...

Now how can you guys gain up on your Mama like that? Do not fire the lady who bakes Stinky Salmon Cookies! I'll have to convince my Mama to bake that for me and my roomates. I'll tell her that the fish will make me have a smoother and shinier coat and she'll be putty in my paw. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Simba said...

That looks so yummy. I'd agree to anything to get some of that.

Simba x

Hi Guys,
Is your mum trying to bribe you before the negotiations even start? We think she has totally made up for any slacking with those mouth watering cookies!! The recipe looks simple enough - maybe even our mum could make them.
Jazz and Dixie
P.S. We are sending some of the warm spring sun your way! Hope it arrives soon.

Ya see? When you stand united you get the goods. Now put those cookies in your Mommy's contract and you won't have to threaten to strike ever again.
