Lazy Boy!

Well, I officially have the laziest dog on the planet. Sherman has taken to eating his breakfast & dinner laying down.

Now, he's no spring chicken...but this is pathetic!

Interestingly enough, he has decided that late night & early morning should be his play time. Hey, he's had plenty of rest all day (and overnight)! I'm usually staring at the backs of my eyelids by 10/10:30 and around 11, he'll start. Squeek, squeek, SQUEEEEEK! (jump up on the bed) Squeek, SQUEEEEK! And he'll repeat this process around 5:00 am. As no one actually gets up to play with him, it's usually short lived...Thank DoG!

It's still cold here, but all the new smells of Spring are everywhere & Sherman & Penny are driving me crazy. They are dogs, they like to sniff stuff...that's part of the fun for them on the walk so I generally indulge them. I do have a seven second sniff rule for Sherman b/c he will stop & sniff every single blade of grass he comes across. Penny isn't usually bad about this but tonight she was particularly annoying.

Lola is doing better and although we did have 2 mini bark breakdowns, they are becoming easier to diffuse. She's no longer barking at other dogs barking that she can't see and is becoming much more relaxed in our neighborhood.

I had a guy pull his truck over and ask me about her.

"Is it a boy or girl?"
"She's a girl."
"How old?"
"A year & a half."
"She's beautiful...I have one just like her at home. Big American Bulldog. You gonna mate her?"
"No, she's spayed."
"Too bad, too bad...they would have beautiful puppies."
"No...no puppies for us."

Would it have been worth my time to try & explain to this guy in the middle of the street why I am not "mating" my dog? Somehow, I doubt it.

u have no idea how boring us dog sometime. i'm like sherman but not that routine. normally i'll beg to play even when the hooman are fast asleep and in early hours like 2 or 3am, normally weekdays when i had too little play time after the hooman reach home (around 7pm) and decide to go to bed at 11.30pm.

but i will never do that when i'm dog tired during the weekends. can't blame me coz i'm bored!

Hee hee - my girl laugh so hard at Sherman laying down eating his food! Why stand up when you can recline and enjoy?!

Now she wants to get another dog so we can have a crazy house like yours.... No offense, that is. Crazy = fun!

Shelly does the same thing at night. She always brings her "Christmas Tree Squeaky" to bed with her and in the middle of the night there will be this squeak, squeak, SQUEAK that breaks the silence. I hate it because it wakes me up but at the same time it's sooo funny :-)

Poor Sherman - his schedule reminds me of my college dorm days. Up at all hours, laying around having pizza. Some of our Labs over the years liked their food up on a foot stool in later years, it made arthritic shoulder less painful for them.

Have a good week - Liza and Dory

Ha roo, Lola! It kills me that bipeds talk like that. Mom and Dad are asked all the time when we're out on walkies with them if they "breed" us. What if I asked them that about their KIDS?!!? Ha roo roo roo! I mean ... well, you know!
Play bows,
Zim

Hee Hee, I gotta try that Sherman, thanks for the great idea. Maybe you're on the wrong schedule and should stay up all night with Sherman. (Mommy doesn't agree with that)

I'm pretty near to the ground anyway so I don't need to lie down.

Hey Sherman sure is being lazy. But as long as he's comfortable I guess. Oh Mom gets asked all the time if people can breed me. She just looks at them and says "uh no, see he has no testicles" and then usually turns me around so they can see. Then she walks off telling me how stupid people are. Yep my mom actually says that. LOL

Hi guys! I found you through Marvin's Blog & I found a picture of Lola sitting in a funny position on the couch. My sista Faith just posted a post today which is very funny & mainly suitable for older boys(dogs ofcourse) but you can check it out too! She sat like you too in the same position. I couldn't help but laugh coz it was SO funny...Oh and nice meeting you four by the way, tata!

Love licks,

Sherman--you're a genius. And I have similar playtimes (5 a.m., 9 p.m. for me).
