The Dogs of Jackman Ave would like to wish all of our friends in the States a happy & safe Independence Day!
Lola is already stressing out as Pittsburgh is famous for starting the celebration early. Every BOOM sends her into a shaking, shivering freak out. She's been retreating to her crate, which is the safest place for her.

Hi guys,
Hope you didn't get too scared with all those fireworks going off. We have been reading on other dogs blogs about the Jackman Ave Pawsicles and decided to come over and try to find the recipe. We found it and the one for cheese cookies. We like the sound of both of them and we are going to try to get mum to make some! She sometimes makes Beagle Brownies which are very yummy.

I grew up right across the street from Mr. Zambelli of Zambelli Fireworks International (New Castle, PA) and he would donate an a$$ load of fireworks to our local park each year. We probably had the best fireworks display in our little township than anyone else. The downside though is that now when I see someone else's fireworks display, it just doesn't live up. He spoiled us. :-)

We've seen three doggies at my work since wednesday with firework related injuries...all injured while trying to get away from the fireworks. Evil fireworks. Inside in a crate is deffinately the place to be during all that booming!
