The V.E.T.

I had to go to the V.E.T this weekend for my annual check-up. I love going to the VET! Mom takes a bag of cookies with her and I get treats for laying down nicely at her feet or ignoring other dogs that come in the waiting room. I charmed the pants off of two ladies by staring at them & smiling. They told Mom about 10 times "You're dog just never stops smiling".

I do have a pretty great smile...see?

This trip to the V.E.T. was great because they didn't steal any of my blood, nor did they stick me with any needles. I also found out that I've lost 2 lbs!! And Mom thought I was gaining weight. They did put that thing up my butt and I just can't understand why they haven't come up a better way to judge how HOT I am. They could've just asked Dot.

I have a little baby lump on my leg that Mom wanted to have the Vet check. It's so little, Dr. F couldn't even find it. Mom does this massage thingy on me every week to check for lumps & bumps and I love it because I just lay there while she rubs me. That's when she found it. This is where it is on my leg.

So she showed Dr. F where it was and they don't think it's a cyst. Because it's so small, they want to wait to biopsy it if it gets any bigger. So that just means Mom will be massaging me every single day & that's just fine with me!!

It made me feel like roachin'!

Mom likes the funny noises I make when I roach...till the stupid white dog comes along & ruins my fun!

(Back to the Vet visit...I'm pretty freaked out about this whole diagnosis. My Vet thinks it could be lymphoma because the lump floats & is not attached to the skin. I almost passed out when she said the C word. Right now it's the size of a pea...and trust me, if that thing gets any bigger Sherman will be at the Vet in a nanosecond to have it biopsed. She doesn't feel the lump is big enough to put him through the whole process right now though. I love this Vet & trust her. She assured me it could stay the same size for a long time. Let's just hope that's the case.)

*touch wood* Sherman will be just fine! his smile says it all :)

BamBam is one who hates the vet - he shivers thruout, and will try ways & means to run when we sit him on the observation table.

I don't really scared much at the vet... I normally just stay calm and let the vet do whatever he wants.. mom always tell me, the vet wants me good...

Sherman,

Being able to pose like that on command (especially for a belly shot) coupled with that winning smile, it will do a lot for your modeling career, man! You're always winning over the ladies... of any species.

Cool about the daily massages. Hope your lump stays small or goes away completely. All my AireZen coming your way, buddy. Stay healthy and SMILEY!

Do you ever just want to kick that little white dog's a**? She's cute, for sure, but doesn't she know the code? NEVER, EVER, interrupt a good hump, a good roach, or a baby talkin' hooman!

Goober love & hugs,
Stanley

Sherman's mom,

Try not to freak out. Just keep up with your daily rubs and keep an eye on it. So many times these dogs drive us nuts and it turns out to be nothing. I'll be keeping him in my prayers, though.

Sherman, my mama is watching a lump too - very close to where yours is. I have a biopsy done, and they said it was just fat. How dare they even say that!

Gee, Sherman....you were quite the trooper at the vet! I have some little lumpies on my legs too & they are not attached..just kind of float..but I always have them checked out & the vet says the same thing..nothing to worry about unless they get bigger...I love your roaching video! That's what I do too!

Hey Sherm, I sometimes get those small little bumps, but on my back. My auntie Judy, who is also my vet, draws fluid out of them and looks at them under her microscope and then tells mom, it's just a fatty lump and nothing to worry about. Can you believe it?! A fatty lump on moi? I don't think so. I think they are beauty lumps. Maybe your's is a beauty lump too,

Mollie likes vet visits: more strangers to charm and kiss, and our vet is great with animals.

Hope your lump stays where it is and doesn't grow any, you handsome boy.

Shermanator--I am keeping my paws crossed for you (which makes it ery hard to walk). As it happens, my ma ape found a little lump on me this morning, though on my chest. Yeesh! Maybe you have a sympathy lump? Or I have one? Or maybe we are just growing little tiny versions of ourselves? How cool would THAT be?

Sherman, I have had two lumps my bipeds had removed and they were both the "ok" type of cancer....as longs as the vet gets all of it if it gets bigger you should be A-OK
