He's BACK!!

I was just digging new holes and laying in the cool dirt...minding my own business when I heard a strange sound...

Penny heard it too and started looking around the yard...search for the source of the annoying "TchTchTchTchTchTchTCHTCHTCHTCH..."

Then we looked up.

That STOOPID squirrel is BACK. In. MY. Treeeee!!!!!

I thought if I opened my mouth wide enough, he'd fall from his perch and land in my mouth!

Penny tried it too but he just stayed up there...mocking us.

Penny, you take one side, I'll take the other & we can try to stare him down.

As you can see, it didn't work.

He'll be back. It's prime "nut gathering" season. And when he does...we'll be ready.

Oh. My sissy tries to use magic mind control powers to make the squirrels fall from the power lines. It hasn't worked yet. I mostly ignore the squirrelables. Are they going to bring me chickenbacks? No.

If you catch that squirrel, you'll be the first dog I've ever met that was smart enough to figure out a way to catch a squirrel! Unless the squirrel is really dumb and easy to catch.

Oh those darn squirrles do the same thing in our yard. It drives me crazy!! They even tease me from inside the house when I look out the window.

Don't give up and keep gurard on them.

Hi Sherman, Penny & Lola! Squirels are very evil...I think you must do an undercover covert operation...pretend you 3 are a bunch of nuts...(ok, maybe not that hard to pretend) & lay on the ground..that way, you can snatch that smelly squirel when he least expects it!

I hate those nasty little beasts. I NEARLY caught one yesterday (think he must have been tired or something). I tried to climb the tree after him but couldn't quite manage it! J x

Hi guys,
We have never seen a squirrel before! From all the comments here they are not very popular. Are they pests where you guys are?

oh I hate those darn squirrels, rabbits who climb trees, bloomin vermin if you ask me!

I wish I could get over there to Jackman Avenue, I would bark and bark at the blinkin squirrel, like I do here in the woods! That would soon frighten him off!

oh and how is your Dad, after the brown fizzy liquid incident on his barkday??????

love and many licks, Marvin xxxx

Just a question, but did Lola have any idea what you and Penny were staring at? Or was she jumping around like a maniac just for the heck of it? Because that's what my brother does - I'll be watching something intently, and he'll just start going crazy without having the slightest idea what's really going on....

What great pix. You too look so alert. Penny looks beautiful to be honest - what a svelte figure...

But why didn't one of you jump up the tree? That might have startled him and then he would have fallen into the other one's mouth. :)

Sorry guys. I don't think you're going to catch him. He can stay in that tree a long time, and as soon as you leave your post, he is gone. He can also go higher and higher in the tree, while we doggies are stuck on the ground. It's not fair!

Hey, guys!

Something that has *almost* worked for me has been my reputation as a goober. I act all goofy in the yard and pretend I don't see them, and inch my doofus way over close like I'm just trotting around my happy yard. Then... BAM! I go for it. I almost got a squirrels tail once. I wish you better success on your squirrel watch.

Hey, that Lola sure has a major vertical jump! I never knew!

Goober love & empathy,
Stanley

If you ever perfect that mind control thing, let me know ok?

one of those squirrels did actually fall into my mouth once! I totally get you - they taunted me constantly when we lived in Minneapolis and I had several stare downs with them and sometimes I won. (but not usually).

Here is texas we only have an occasional squirrel lurker in our yard - it is NOTHING like Mpls where our yard was overrun with them - those oak trees!
