This is such a sad, sad day. One of our beloved DWBs family members, Oscar Airedale, went to the bridge this morning. He was such a young boy & this is such a tragedy.

Katy & Martin, our hearts go out to you. There are no words to express how sad we are and how hard we are grieving this amazing dog we never even had the pleasure to meet. Oscar touched everyone who "knew" him & we thank you for sharing his wonderful life with us.

This is such a hard lesson to take every day as a gift. Our life with our dogs is never long enough.

Run Free Oscar.

That is so sad about Oscar. It looks like he had a wonderful life. And your words are so true, that the time we have with our dogs is never enough.

Hey Jen, Sherman, Penny and Lola...
This is such a sad day. It is so hard to believe he's gone. Oscar was one of the first pups to visit my blog when I started (you pups were too!) so this is extra hard let alone the fact that Oscar was just an amazing pup!

That was a lovely tribute...lots of sad licks, Ruby & Michele

You put it perfectly. Although we rarely ever get to 'meet' our blogger friends, they are just that: friends.
Oscar was such a good one. A wonderful companion to his family, and to the DWB community.

I couldn't believe it when we saw it. It's just heartbreaking.

I've been involved with a lot of online communities through the years and I have to say the Dog Blog community is by the best. Everyone is so nice and caring, not to mention helpful in a crisis.

Jen, just want to take this time to say thanks for everything you and your pack do for us. Your support these last several months have meant a lot.

Give the gang a hug for us.

Another touching tribute to dear, sweet Oscar.
I've been visiting his friends sites & I'm in tears again.
Its just too, too sad.
He was a wonderful boy, more so in person/dogson whatever. I was so looking forward to meeting him & Katy again. Just can't imagine who she must feel, their connection went so deep.

Best wishes & pats

We are just catching up on our reading - it's been a little nutty around here.

This is such a tragic day... Not only becoz of Oscar's death, but Tadpole's friend too who is ready to go to the Rainbow Bridge soon. Even today in the afternoon while driving back from our training(I was in the car too), we saw an accident on the road in the road was jammed! Then we saw a motorcycle & a body of a man lying motionless on the middle on the road, with blood streaming down from his head & his clothes torn. I think the public bus ran over him... Why is soo many doggies & people dying today? This is such a sad day.

Love licks,

Thank you for your lovely tribute. We are hurting so so badly now and just cannot understand why our healthy bouncy puppy had to go so soon and so fast. Knowing how much he was loved and will be missed is some comfort.
